Time is a Donut is the title of Jerome Kugan's exhibition in the basis project space, which presents works from his residency in Frankfurt. On display are three series of works that deal with the personal experience of time and its intertwining with memories.

Time is a Donut, die Zeit ist ein Donut, so der Titel der Ausstellung von Jerome Kugan im Projektraum der basis, die Arbeiten aus seiner Residenz in Frankfurt vorstellt. Gezeigt werden drei Werkserien, die sich mit dem persönlichen Erleben von Zeit und dessen Verflechtung mit Erinnerungen befassen.

HAP Studio-Programme // Exhibition
The eight artists James Gregory Atkinson, Živa Drvarič, Shaun Motsi, Lukas Müller, Ivan Murzin, Dennis Siering, Joana Tischkau, and Franziska Wildt have had their working practice at basis e. V. over the past four years. Since March 2021, they have been supported by the HAP Studio Programme, for which they have received free studios and an individually conceived mentoring programme. The works they created during this period are to be presented now in a closing exhibition.

Über die letzten vier Jahre haben die acht Künstler:innen James Gregory Atkinson, Živa Drvarič, Shaun Motsi, Lukas Müller, Ivan Murzin, Dennis Siering, Joana Tischkau und Franziska Wildt bei basis e. V. gearbeitet. Seit März 2021 wurden sie im Rahmen des ersten Jahrganges des HAP Studio-Programms gefördert, indem sie kostenlose Atelierräume und ein eigens konzipiertes Mentoring-Programm erhielten. Nun werden ihre Werke, die in diesem Zeitraum entstanden sind, gemeinsam in einer Abschlussausstellung präsentiert.

From September 7th to 8th, the production and exhibition platform basis e.V. opens its doors! During this weekend, basis SOMMERSCHAU offers an excellent opportunity to get to know the multifaceted activities of basis e.V., including the artists funded by basis, the curated exhibition space and the various international exchange programmes. You can join themed tours of the studios, artist talks, performances and a short film programme. In a temporary art market installed for the duration of the exhibition, you will also have the opportunity to purchase small-format works by the artists.
