IEPA - Residency 2019Bis zum 9. Mai können sich Künstler*innen mit Wohnsitz in Hessen für ein dreimonatiges Arbeitsstipendium bei NEKaTOENEa in Hendaye an der französisch-baskischen Atlantikküste bewerben. Das Programm ist eine Kooperation der Produktions- und Ausstellungsplattform basis e.V. Frankfurt und NEKaTOENEa in Hendaye, Frankreich und wird gefördert vom Hessischen Ministerium sowie der Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Ziel ist es, den künstlerischen Austausch zwischen den beiden Partnerregionen zu fördern und den ausgewählten Künstler*innen neue Perspektiven auf das eigene Werk zu ermöglichen. Die jeweils vor Ort entstandenen Arbeiten werden im Anschluss an die Residency in einer Ausstellung bei basis in Frankfurt sowie in Nouvelle-Aquitaine präsentiert. Außerdem entsteht als Abschluss des Projekts ein gemeinsamer Katalog beider Künstler*innen. Zeitraum des Austauschs: Juli - September 2019

The IEPA working scholarship is a cooperation between the production and exhibition platform basis e.V. and NEKaTOENEa. The goal is to promote artistic exchange between the partner regions Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France and the German State of Hessen as well as to enable the selected artists to gain new perspectives on their own work. Following the residency, the works the scholarship holders produce at their respective location will be presented in an exhibition at basis in Frankfurt and in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. A joint catalog on the work of both artists will form the conclusion to the project.
