We are pleased to be presenting the comprehensive exhibition Bouillon by Bouillon by the Georgian artist collective Bouillon Group at basis from September 14 to October 14, 2018. The opening and live performance are on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 7 pm. In their performances, Bouillon Group reference the multifaceted culture of their home country as well as the reality of life in post-Soviet Georgia, often adopting a critical perspective when doing so. With their explicitly performative approach they focus on transcending the boundaries between life and art. It is particularly by drawing on regional traditions and transferring them artistically into new contexts that Bouillon Group reveals many historical and social levels of meaning.
Alongside the video documentation of a selection of past projects, all three performances of the Social Aerobics trilogy will be presented live for the first time within the framework of the exhibition. Bouillon by Bouillon is contribution to the Official Guest of Honour Program of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2018. Social Aerobics Performances:
