On Wednesday, May 27 at 4 PM, our current AIR_Frankfurt guest artist Marcell Marosfalvi will talk about how diferrent circumstances shaped and influenced his artistic interests in past few years, as well as about his artistic process and methodology.
His two-month residency in Frankfurt takes place in cooperation with Budapest Gallery.
Marcell Marosfalvi is a Budapest-based artist working across painting, photographic processes, video, and digital media. His practice explores the unstable relationship between material and digital realities, investigating how data, virtual space, and technological systems shape perception, memory, and embodiment. Drawing on both experimental image-making techniques and references to art history, Marosfalvi’s works balance precision and error, structure and accident, often translating immaterial digital phenomena back into tactile, physical forms. Through layered watercolours, light sensitive media and immersive moving-image works, he creates reflections on contemporary experiences of disconnection, artificiality, and digital rootlessness.
There is no entrance fee and everyone is invited to come by and get cinnamon rolls and coffee for free.
