***"Batik is a wax-resist dye technique most commonly used in Indonesia and in West-Africa. These days elaborate batik - and natural dying techniques are once more a helpful tool for communication.
In this workshop the startingpoint will be the hat of Little Red Riding Hood, as depicted on an early 20th century batik from the North Coast of Java.
But...What happens when we take this figure back to Bahnhofsviertel here in Frankfurt? Which plants can we use here for a reddish color? And how should the hat of Little Red Riding Hood look like if the woods were Bahnhofsviertel and the wolf was one of those bad cops? Its all up to you, just be wicked and do not look back!
