A decorator must understand that taste is not a standard but the power to discern, to concentrate. Taste is an appreciation of order and a sure knowledge of what constitutes fitness. These concepts can be learned through education, travel, experience, and living. In learning these principles, the person will come to understand that a room - any room - is simply an enclosure of space and time for a specific purpose.'
(Albert Hadley, The Story of America's Preeminent Interior Designer)

Elizabeth Gilbert needs to change, since she was fifteen she's either been with a guy or breaking up with a guy. She hasn't given herself just two weeks of a breather to deal with herself. There was a point when she had an appetite for life, it is now as distant a memory as the places she had once longed to explore - Italy, India, Bali. When a man who - yes - resembles Yoda, hands you a prophecy do you have to respond? And at which point do you except the life you have? How do you recover the ability to marvel at something, and if you do will everything else take care of itself?

The works shown in Eat, Pray, Love are aware that its better to live your own life imperfectly than to imitate someone else´s perfectly. In a journey away from restless comfort and the struggle to redefine values, one could learn to accept life as an enclosure of space and time dedicated to three specific purposes; eat, pray, love
