We are delighted to welcome Ifie Sin from July to September 2018 to stay and work at basis within the framework of Air_Frankfurt and the MMCA Residency Goyang (Seoul). Ifie Sin (*1981) talks about her artistic practice and her project ideas for the three months – residency in Frankfurt.

"I interpret the relationships of an individual in a group and in a society through microscopic visuals, like those from a laboratory. I attempt to place myself as an experimenter or an observer toward individuals, each with a story of their own. Each individual, represented in the form of a cell, is shown as a member of the society, bound by regulations and censorship.
In Frankfurt I am currently researching the German honey industry and how the German Natural History Collection is constituted, suspecting some possible connection."
