On Wednesday, July 22 at 6 PM, our current AIR_Frankfurt guest artist Kwantaeck Park will talk about the artistic practices and approaches that have developed throughout his ongoing series from the past to the present. His three-month residency in Frankfurt is taking place in cooperation with MMCA Residency Goyang.

Kwantaeck Park’s art practice translates the phenomena of contemporary life into embodied experiences. Through a visual language that simultaneously disciplines and expands perception, he examines the blurred boundaries between linguistic forms of meaning-making and non-linguistic modes of experience. 

Park lives and works in Seoul, South Korea. He has held solo exhibitions at CR Collective, Incheon Art Platform, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, Seoul Olympic Museum of Art, and Insa Art Space, and participated in exhibitions internationally, including at the Saatchi Gallery, the State Hermitage Museum, and Doosan Gallery New York. He was selected as a Visual Artist for ARKO's Korean Creative Academy in 2018 and received the Young Artist Award from the National Academy of Arts, Republic of Korea, in 2025.
