Eröffnung: There Will Come Soft Rains Die Ausstellung "There Will Come Soft Rains" initiiert eine Zeitreise, bei der sich eine Gruppe internationaler KünstlerInnen in das Jahr 2318 begibt. Auf ihrer Expedition trifft sie auf eine neuartige Lebenswelt, in der die menschliche Spezies nahezu vollständig verschwunden ist.
Ausgehend von diesem fiktiven Zeitsprung präsentieren die KünstlerInnen Marcela Armas, Carolina Caycedo, Julian Charrière, Andreas Greiner & Tyler Friedman, Jeronimo Voss und Pinar Yoldas im Rahmen neu konzipierter Installationen, Videos und Objekte ihre Eindrücke einer non-humanen Welt. In einem separaten Projektionsraum erkunden filmische Arbeiten von Hicham Berrada, Galina Leonova, Uriel Orlow, Mario Pfeifer und Superflex in assoziativer Weise die möglichen Ursachen für ein zukünftiges Verschwinden der Menschheit. Durch einen projektbegleitenden Blog sowie ein vielschichtiges Vermittlungsprogramm findet eine fortführende Diskussion der zentralen Fragestellungen unter der Einbindung von internationalen ExpertInnen statt. Neben Performances und Workshops beinhaltet das Begleitprogramm ebenso eine mehrteilige Vortragsreihe. Kuratiert von Stefan Vicedom und Bernard Vienat. |

Opening: There Will Come Soft RainsThe exhibition "There Will Come Soft Rains" initiates a time travel in which a group of international artists enters the year 2318. During their expedition they encounter a new environment in which the human species has almost completely disappeared.
Based on this fictional scenario the artists Marcela Armas, Carolina Caycedo, Julian Charrière, Andreas Greiner & Tyler Friedman, Jeronimo Voss and Pinar Yoldas reveal their visions of a non-human world through a range of newly conceived installations, videos and objects.. In addition the exhibition also includes a separate projection room in which filmic works by Hicham Berrada, Galina Leonova, Uriel Orlow, Mario Pfeifer and Superflex associatively explores the possible reasons for this future disappearance of humanity. A blog to accompany the project and a multilayered communication program allow for a continuative discussion of the exhibition’s central questions with the participation of international experts. Alongside performances and workshops, the accompanying program also includes a series of lectures. Curated by Stefan Vicedom und Bernard Vienat. |
