Liebe basis-Mieter*innen,
das Jahr verging wie im Nu und Ende August verlässt uns unsere aktuelle FSJ-lerin Dana. Gerne möchten wir euch zu ihrem Abschiedsfest am Mittwoch den 28. August zu uns ins Erdgeschoss in der
Gutleutstraße einladen. Für Snacks und Drinks ist gesorgt.
Das Abschiedsfest findet im Anschluss an den Artist talk von Hinda Weiss, unserer aktuellen Residency-Künstlerin aus Tel Aviv statt (19 Uhr bis 20 Uhr) zu dem ihr natürlich auch recht herzlich eingeladen seid.
Hinda Weiss ist Fotografin und Videokünstlerin und lebt in Tel Aviv und New York. Ihre Landschaftskompositionen sind aufgeladen mit lokalen Geschichten und verschmelzen Zeiten und Orte zu nicht existierenden
und dennoch vertraut anmutenden Umgebungen.
Weiss hat einen MFA der Columbia University und erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, Preise und Stipendien, darunter den Artis Exhibition Grant und den Outset Contemporary Young International Artist Prize.
Ihre letzten beiden Einzelausstellungen fanden im Ludlow 38 in New York und im Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art in Israel statt.

Dear basis tenants,
The year passed by in no time and at the end of August Dana, who has completed her voluntary social year with us, leaves us. We would like to invite you to her farewell party on Wednesday the 28th of August at our
ground floor in Gutleutstraße. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The farewell party will take place after the artist talk of Hinda Weiss, our current residency artist from Tel Aviv (7 pm to 8 pm), to which you are of course cordially invited.
Hinda Weiss is a photographer and video artist based in Tel Aviv and New York. Her works are compositions of landscapes charged with local histories that merge places and
times into non-existing yet very familiar environments.
Weiss holds an MFA from Columbia University and has received numerous awards, prizes, and grants including the Artis Exhibition Grant and the Outset Contemporary Young
International Artist prize. Her last two solo shows where at Ludlow 38 in New York and Herzliya Museum of Contemporary art in Israel.
