AIR_Frankfurt Open Call: Kuala Lumpur und Seoul

Das Artist-in-Residence Programm „AIR_Frankfurt“ in Zusammenarbeit mit basis e.V. freuen sich, die neugewonnene Kooperation in Kuala Lumpur bekannt zu geben. In den Monaten Mai, Juni und Juli 2017 werden Frankfurter Künstler_innen zum ersten Mal eingeladen sein im Kulturzentrum 'Lostgens' in Kuala Lumpur zu arbeiten und zu wohnen. Das Programm wird unterstützt vom Goethe-Institut Malaysia. 

Neben Kuala Lumpur wird auch wieder Seoul (KR) in den Monaten Juli, August und September 2017 eine/n Künstler_in aufnehmen. Bildende Künstler_innen, die ihren Lebens- und Arbeitsmittelpunkt in Frankfurt haben, können sich ab sofort mit einem Motivationsschreiben und Arbeitsprojekt für einen dreimonatigen Aufenthalt bewerben.

AIR_Frankfurt open call: Kuala Lumpur and Seoul

Besides Kuala Lumpur, Seoul also will host an artist from Frankfurt in the months July, August and September 2017. Young visual artists who predominantly live and work in Frankfurt can now apply with a motivational letter and a workproposal for a three-month residency.

Application deadline for Kuala Lumpur and Seoul: January 22nd 2017.

Öffentliche Führungen zu "State of the City" 

Am Donnerstag, den 1. Dezember 2016 sowie Donnerstag, den 8. Dezember 2016 findet je um 18 Uhr eine öffentliche Führung durch die aktuelle Ausstellung „State of the City“ statt.
Noch bis zum 18. Dezember 2016 ist die thematische Gruppenausstellung, die sich auf die komplexe Beziehung zwischen Handel und soziokulturellem Kontext der Städte Antwerpen, Rotterdam und Frankfurt am Main konzentriert, bei basis e.V. zu sehen. Teilnehmende Künstler_innen sind Ghislain Amar, Stijn Van Dorpe, Mirte Van Duppen, Levent Kunt, Karl Philips und Ani Schulze.

Die Führung ist kostenlos und findet in deutscher Sprache statt, keine Anmeldung erforderlich.
Treffpunkt ist im Basis-Foyer der Gutleutstraße 8-12, 60329 Frankfurt.

Public guided tours "State of the City"

On Thursday, December 1st and Thursday, December 8th at 6pm guided tours through the current exhibtion „State of the City“ will take place at basis e.V..
The theme-based group exhibition that focuses on the complex relationship between trade and sociocultural contexts in the cities of Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Frankfurt am main is on view until December 18th at basis e.V.. Participating artists are Ghislain Amar, Stijn Van Dorpe, Mirte Van Duppen, Levent Kunt, Karl Philips and Ani Schulze.

The guided tour is for free and will be in German language.
No registration requiered. Meeting point is at the basis foyer of Gutleutstraße 8-12, 60329 Frankfurt.
